Winners of the 2022 Wine Industry IMPACT Awards, presented by the Wine Industry Suppliers Association (WISA), were announced at a gala dinner on 30 November.

The awards program highlights businesses within the industry that have developed innovative solutions to help with sustainability, efficiency, quality, recovery, risk mitigation, brand development, safety and more.

Awards were presented across 7 categories, with Green Industries SA sponsoring the inaugural Sustainability award in 2022. Other categories were Packaging and Design, Wine Tourism and Marketing, Viticulture and Grapegrowing, Agtech and Digital, Engineering and Equipment, and Winemaking and Oenology.

The award for sustainability was presented to Blue H2O Filtration (BHF).

BHF designed a bespoke water filtration system for Taylors Wines which has resulted in exceptionally pure process water, elimination of water filtration consumables, a 30 to 50% reduction in wine filtration consumables, a significant reduction in landfill contributions, and financial savings.

This innovation has the potential to create impact across the sector as sustainability and water quality is increasingly needed across Australia.
