Freedom of Information Statement

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 of the Freedom of Information Act 1991 the following details are provided as part of the information statement of Green Industries SA ('GISA').

Agency structure and functions

GISA is established vas a statutory corporation under the Green Industries SA Act 2004. This legislation amended the Zero Waste SA Act 2004 GISA's objectives are to promote waste management practices that, as far as possible, eliminate waste or its consignment to landfill; and promote innovation and business activity in the waste management, resource recovery and green industry sectors, recognising these areas present a valuable opportunity to contribute to the State's economic growth.

GISA is overseen by a governing board board – the Board of Green Industries SA and is supported by the Office of Green Industries SA, a South Australian Government agency established under the Public Sector Act 2009.

Description of kinds of documents held by GISA

Documents produced by Green Industries SA (and formerly Zero Waste SA, from 2004 to 2016) on a range of waste management, resource efficiency and green industry related matters are available on the agency's website at www.greenindustries.sa.gov.au and at the GISA Office on 4th floor, 81-95 Waymouth Street, Adelaide. These include

  • Reports relating to waste management, resource recovery and green industry issues prepared by or on behalf of GISA
  • Annual reports under the Green Industries SA Act 2004 (and former Zero Waste SA Act 2004) and Public Sector Act 2009
  • Correspondence files
  • Financial records
  • Personnel records.

Disclosure logs
