Annual Report 2019-20

In 2019-20, we worked with 27 businesses to implement circular economy projects related to: resource efficiencies, improvements in waste avoidance and management, and sustainable business practices. Through this work, more than $2.26 million in potential direct savings were identified for these businesses.

In 2019-20, Green Industries SA implemented the state government’s Waste and Resource Recovery Modernisation and Council Transition Package (the Package), which provides funding to industry and local government to transition and modernise waste management services and resource recovery infrastructure. Through implementation of the package and other funding and incentive programs, Green Industries SA approved more than $7 million in grants to businesses, industry and local government to improve efficiencies, divert materials from landfill and improve the quality of recovered materials.
