Circular Fashion Toolkit
The Circular Fashion Toolkit was developed by Rawtec for the South Australian Fashion Industry Association (SAFIA) and funded by Green Industries SA to support the growth of circular fashion in South Australia. While this toolkit has been developed primarily for South Australian fashion brands and SAFIA members, much of the content is relevant to brands beyond South Australia and to other clothing sectors (e.g. uniforms).
- Part 1 introduces circular economy and circular fashion concepts and explains why circularity matters for the fashion sector.
- Part 2 outlines practical steps businesses can take across the three stages of a product’s life: design, in-use, and end-of-use.
- Part 3 contains case studies, tools, and resources including templates to help you assess your starting point, identify circular opportunities, and develop an action plan.
This toolkit provides general advice, suggestions and resources to help businesses improve circularity. Rather than prescribing what is right or wrong, it is intended to support businesses to identify practical circular actions aligned with their business goals. This toolkit recognises that circularity is not one-size-fits-all, and that businesses must balance circular opportunities with other competing priorities. As with any general guidance, businesses should consider their own circumstances when deciding which actions are appropriate for them.
