Free collection and drop-off services

Collection: Fire-damaged fencing wire, plastic rain water tanks, irrigation piping (poly pipe) or CCA (permapine) posts and ash

We can arrange for free collection and disposal:

  1. Place damaged fencing wire in a maximum of two locations on your property.
  2. Email Mike Haywood with this information:
  • Name, contact details (including the address) for the affected property
  • Number of piles of fencing wire
  • Location of the piles on the property
  • Number and size of any damaged plastic (poly)rain water tanks
  • Location of the tanks on the property
  • Estimated amount of fire-damaged irrigation (poly pipe) piping
  • Location of the tanks on the property
  • Whether the collection points are accessible by truck

Drop-off services – Woodside depot

The Adelaide Hills Council depot at 10 Tiers Road, Woodside, now accepts:

  • CCA (permapine) and creosote posts - burnt or unburnt
  • CCA ash - securely contained in a container
  • Poly pipe (irrigation pipe)

The depot accepts these items between 9.30am – 2.30pm, Monday to Friday (closed weekends and Public Holidays). 


Entry to the depot is by free vouchers issued as follows:
Pick-up from the Lobethal Local Recovery Centre, Fabrik Arts and Heritage in the Old Woollen Mill
1 Lobethal Road, Lobethal 


Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.00pm
Saturday: 9.00am to 1.00pm
Sunday and Public Holidays: Closed

You can have as many vouchers as needed. There is a limit of one voucher per visit. 


CCA ash

If you need to collect CCA ash on your property, kits are available from the Lobethal Recovery Centre.
The kits come with protective equipment, safe storage containers and instructions on how to clean up bushfire debris safely. When full, these should be dropped off at the Woodside depot.
